    Error Other | 1960D Skirted R

Is the skirted R on this one too small to be attributed to cuds-on-coins?
I wasn't sure if there was a minimum on the size since I couldn't find one like this. The ones listed seem much more filled.

It's to small for a IDB listing. FYI it's not listed in Cohen's book.

Thanks for the info!!! I'm running into larger more filled R's or ones that have the R's skirted with a filled B or filled 9.
Bought a bank wrapped roll and every single one has some sort of die chip thing going on. What the heck do I do with all these? They are on some beautiful higher grade coins though. That was neat. I'm not done searching through the roll, I'm hoping I'll come across a BIE.

There is a minimum size for an IDB... I just have to find the reference again... It's on the error reference site http://www.error-ref.com/part_iv__die_errors/ somewhere!!!

The size requirement is completely subjective and depends on who you ask. Furthermore, it is practically impossible to ascertain the area of the die chip when it always has a very irregular shape. So, really the whole thing is completely arbitrary, like the rules of baseball. Someone just made something up completely at random, and then people ran with it. So, as it is, if something is considered an interior die break, instead of a die chip, we are suddenly supposed to fall all over ourselves in worship of it. lol.

I love your insight Will... Since human math is based on linear observations only an estimate of total area can be established Pies are not square they are round

Now they have Common Core. That has to be from stick insects, or something...
