Error Die Clash/Break | Questions about an Atypical Die Clash

Didn't see this die clash on the forum. I think it's ADC-1c-2015-01 listed on maddieclashes.com but cannot confirm die crack in Lincoln's forehead or the die chip on upper left shield because the reverse of this coin is severely damaged.

What I am trying to learn from this die clash is:

What are the two curved marks below R of TRUST

Could that be die chatter in the field to the left of Lincoln's head caused from this possibly being a late die state? Do clashes worsen as the die ages? The reason I am asking is, I am pretty sure it is die #1 but I am seeing some other things on this coin that I don't understand.

Thanks for helping! Wish this Lincoln was in better shape and my photos were better

That's a great find! I have yet to find a Shield cent die clash of any kind. Sorry, I am no help with the attribution, but Jim does amazing overlays which you could do a search for or I bet he will be along to help shortly.

Thank you very much Chugly! I just about cried when I turned the coin over and saw the reverse I took several other photos to match it up to the one on maddieclashes.com but I didn't want to hurt ya'lls eyes too much LOL

Do you have any clash marks on the rev... The way it looks now is that yours would be 03... Your obv clash marks, most notable at the bow tie, is slightly south and west of 01 on MDC... Way to go Vivien!!!

Oh no, now I am really confused. I only saw 2 listings for 2015 Atypical Die Clashes. Let me go back and see why I didn't see 03. The reverse is really bad, parking lot bad.

Thank you Jim for helping!! Going back to look at the bow tie area again.

Dang Jim, you are right! My U looks like a horseshoe hanging on the bow tie and the 01 example is further north. I don't think it would be of interest for a listing because the reverse is so damaged. Hopefully someone else will find a better example. Thank you very much for your help!!

It should still be listable... There would be a note stating "A better sample is needed"... After all you have the discovery piece!!!

Awww Jim thank you! I need a disclaimer on all of my posts "a better photo is needed" LOL I am not really sure who is taking care of die clashes? Jason, BJ? Since you have helped me so much with this one can I send it to you for photos? That way if there is any interest, they will be able to see your nice photos!

Nice work everyone! Even with the damage, you have to start somewhere! This coin proves a unique clash event and hopefully some more got released in your area so you can find one and do the upgrade dance. Especially sweet when you get to replace a real crappy coin!

I know the better pic idea very well... When I first started here it would take me several hundred pics to get one good one and that is no joke... You can send it to me if you wish... Just remember I am no pro!!!
