Error Die Crack | 1964D Spike Head Cent

    Not seeing a 64D SKH on http://cuds-on-coins.com/

Not much listed in the 60's. In 3 years I have not found a Spike Head cent earlier than 1972, and found none in the 400 or so wheat cents I have found in the same time period.

I know that you seasoned members have searched a lot more Lincoln's than I have and you don't post your finds very often (I wish you would do that more often) but wondered if I am correct in my assumption that the 60's didn't produce as many spikes?

Jean Cohen Lincoln Book lists 272 Spiked Heads for the 1960's (75 listed just for 1967P) and 288 for the 1950's. Did you know the 1909 VDB Doubled Die Obverse
Type 1 has a spiked head? I love BIE's and Spiked Heads.

Thank you very much! This is just the information I was wondering about, oh my almost 300! Guess they are starting to get culled out so we are not seeing them much. I did not know that about the 1909 VDB DDO Type 1, thank you! Same here, I love finding BIE's and Spike Heads also!

Found your 1964-D Cent spiked head in Jean Cohen' Book on page 246 Listed as 64D-72B. Additional info: "Left drainpipe. Diecrack to rim at T of UNITED. Multiple diecracks at column #12. Does this sound right for your coin? COOL.

Wow! Thank you so much for looking it up for me! Coin is very circulated but I think I see die cracks on the left side of C 12. I need to get that book!! Adding your notes to the flip now

Was trying to find the die crack from the Rim at T of United. May just be too circulated, I see a tiny something there? Does the book show markers?

Thank you for showing me how the spikes are listed. That does make it easier to find them! (maybe if you get a chance to remove the pic from the post, don't want us to get in trouble for using copyright material) I really appreciate your help!
