Error Other | Is this a lam error or a struck through?

Howdy, folks! Been awhile. Hope everyone's been doing well.

I'm posting several clear lam errors on eBay but this one gives me pause as to whether it's a lam or was it struck through
something? My guess is struck through but your opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Those are lams and nice ones... Looks like they took a hit causing the metal to be displaced... Nice you were able to check in!!!

Yes. It's been many moons since I researched these things and my memory is failing me a bit. Both the obverse and reverse depressions are so deep in places
it's confusing me. I've just never found a lam with such deep depressions before. The remnants of the wheat stalk on the reverse are puzzling to me for some reason.
I've seen some similar coins listed as struck through on eBay before but that doesn't mean they were attributed correctly.

Thanks, brother! I thought this coin had been hit too but I reasoned against it because I thought a hit causing depressions this deep would have done more overall
damage to the coin. Perhaps I need to apply some "Nog to this equation!

The deep depressions are from the lamination... The metal fell off due to the hits... On the rev there appears to be some light scratches on the west side from a hit... Maybe a coin rolling machine??? On the obv there appears to be a couple of gouges near the rim on the south side of the depression... They run from the field and into the depression slightly... Excellent pics by the way!!!

Always nice to have all the pieces... At least you didn't lose all the pieces from the obv... Still should get you a bit of a premium!!!
