Don't know. I see too much texture and would expect a greaser to be smooth surfaced. May be a late state die cap strike.

I would have thought a greaser also but now I am not sure... Time for a Mike Diamond chime in??? or one of the other gurus in this area... Nice find either way!!!

I'm just not seeing the broadening toward the rim I would expect for a die cap. I think it's just a greaser that had a rough life. I see the same striations on the reverse. I'm not an expert though.

It's a greaser. One clue is that the outlines of Lincoln's bust are too sharply defined for a capped die strike. Another clue is that the internal margin of the design rim is too sharply defined for a capped die strike.
