BTW- Holy smokes. That's a lot of copper.
At $1.86 scrap value per 100 Lincolns you've got $14,601.00 (enough to go to Disney World for a family of five for half a day.)
The latest date in the bottle was 1986.

Just scored 5 boxes of hand rolled pennies from my bank. They were glad to get rid of them. Opened 10 rolls yesterday that had old style wrappers. All were copper, including 16 early wheaties. It's going to be fun.
Whooo hooo 5 boxes of customer rolled cents is a dream score! Sounds like you have a nice banker! Looking forward to seeing what's in that stash, have fun!

Someone had that stashed away for 30 years till you got it?
Did it belong to a relative?

[/QUOTEGot the bottle from a friend at my gym. He was putting pennies in it for years. He moved in 1986 and put the bottle in the garage at his new house and never touched it again until he offered it to me.

              Very nice score.
One more question that comes to mind is whether you are searching just for copper or looking for varieties also? (You could easily have some nice ones in that stash, even the zincs with 1983 and 1984 coming to mind)

I also look for errors, that how I found the three cuds and the greasers but I'm still a relative novice regarding all the varieties out there. Reading this site has given me a wealth of information. There are some really smart people here.
