    Error Planchet | 1973-P Error?

    Hi:
    Anyone know what this is? Dont look like PMD.

      looks to be a lamination error, check the side of the cent to see if there is any appearant layering.
      Even a fool can look wise if he keeps his mouth closed.

          Whatever it is sure played havoc with the letters in Liberty. Is it even possible for something to be sandwiched between layers in these copper cents? I would be tempted to try and find out... and of course, ruin the coin in the process.

              Looks like a lamination of the planchet prior to striking.

              It is hard to really tell by the pictures.
