    Error Planchet | 1962 D Defective planchet

Pulled this form a BU roll of '62 D's and its the only notable find in 7 rolls. Did not want to burden the post with more images but the fissure appears to go through about 1/2 of the coin and is accompanied by extensive delam. and various defects along the rims of the coin. In other words: lucky this planchet endured the strike.

That is a cool way to salvage a blah set of rolls.
That is pretty severe. I like it.

Wow Roller! You are right, it's amazing the planchet didn't crack upon strike impact! That is very extreme looking, the delam is in just the right spot to confirm what happened! Very nice find!!!

Yep. I've been sitting on numerous rolls of various "blahs" dreading the search. Ran out of new material so I'm eliminating some of the stash.

That is cool looking... I am surprised it didn't fall apart when you pulled it out of the roll... My pair-of-doilies are working over time today... Did any one notice the 6 just north of the A in AMERICA just inside the fissure near the rim???

So you have gone through the five bags of cents you had stockpiled from your bank?
And you thought you might never get to them. LOL.

I know Cliff, I didn't think Roller would ever run out of bags to search! Guess it's time for him to stock back up

Yep. Sometimes they come in two bags a week and I get backed up and other times its a trickle. Also, I don't spend much time pondering low quality and worthless coins so I go through a bag in about 3-4 hours.

How do you view so many so quickly? One at a time?
What do you use, a conveyor belt and TSA large screen monitor (hope your model doesn't have a Q-236 space modulator?)
