Error Other | Possible Struck Through or Lamination peeled away?

Hi Folks, Long time no post, hope everyone is doing great this New Year, hopefully your not stuck in some storm we have had lately! I could use your help on this one, it looks like something got struck into the coin only to have come out lately as it is nice and copper colored where it came off, here are some pics, thanks in advance, I appreciate your help!

Hello! Nice to see you again and hope you are making through that bad weather okay! Best wishes for a great New Year to you also!

Very interesting find! I'm thinking more in line with a LAM since the date is not affected. Really good photos! Where does the anomaly end on the West side? Can you post a pic of that?

I'm a lightweight but that is a NICE struck through if I've ever seen one! Cool find!

It really looks like a struck through but you are right about the date Viv. Nice catch. As I said, lightweight!

As Viv said that should not be a struck through but it sure does look like one. Very odd.

Oh Viv, I didn't mean to imply I was in any storm, it is very cold however as always in Wyo, I was mostly referring to the folks back east, what a mess...

Jon, I'm still in the lightweight class myself and I'm always second guessing myself

I think this is a nice LAM Richard, but let's get some more feedback.

Okay, thank goodness you are not suffering through the East Coast Blizzard! Wyoming is a beautiful place to live, but cold I am sure!

I'm in with the lam peel... By the looks of it the piece recently fell out within the last 20 years any way There is no apparent damage on any of the devices, from a strike thru, that I would expect to see... Nice find... No snow in Wyo is there a heat wave

with what we usually have, it is a heat wave, we have had days above freezing, enough to keep the snow mostly melted, thanks for the comments folks!

I'm thinking its a lamination before the strike error since the date doesn't seem to be effected.
