Error Plating | 1994P Plating error or hit?

This one is just weird enough for me to not be able to decide if the plating took a hit or it's something else. What is odd to me is on the right side of the anomaly it's like a chunk is missing along the edge of it but on the left side it looks smooth.

Looks like a stain or something was stuck to it and came off.....really hard to tell on that dark picture

I'm with Roger Viv. Looks like something was on the coin at some point and came off leaving the lighter area. I cannot see any difference in depth.

Thank you very much Maineman and Jon! I can see how something could be stuck on there, caused a stain, then fell off leaving a mark.

Not to dark compared to a moonless night in the middle of the Sahara

You may have the brightness on your monitor set at its max setting???

Thank you Jim! Just my luck, a piece of gum or probably a lemon jolly rancher

Not sure about my monitor, it seems pretty normal to me. I am not using much light with this Celestron and I like it that way much better, didn't realize my photos are on the dark side.

Yeah freed is the word, if it was still in the cup holder the jolly rancher would still be attached LOL!

Jim, I don't know, my pics don't look dark to me, but I'm glad Maineman said something or I would not have known. Let's see how these next ones turn out.

I adjusted my monitor so they are a little better but still seem dark to me??? Maybe it's my tunnel vision
