    Error Plating | 1993 P plating issue?

I poked around on it and it's solid everywhere, so no plating bubble. It almost looks like it took a shot but nothing on the reverse would lead me to believe that. Just had not seen anything quite like this up to now. Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Jon.

Wonder if it's a large die chip or IDB that has been smoothed over from circulation wear? Let's see what the guys think!

you are referring to the lump next to the eye, right?

Kind of all of it Viv. to the west of the eye, extended east from the eyelid and north up the back of forehead. I should have explained it a little better. I'll mark up one of the pics and put it on the main post.

Thank you for the marked up photo Jon! That is really odd looking, the big bumps on each side of the eye don't look smooth like plating blisters normally do. I can't really tell on the other part that is leading toward the back of the forehead, do they look the same as the other bumps, just smaller?

Where the yellow arrow is pointing looks like the center of a spiderweb where it just worked its way outward. It almost looks like cracks. It's a combination of raised and recessed areas but they are all solid, no blisters. That's why I thought maybe it was just some sort of plating issue. Sorry the pics don't show it very well.

That should be plating issues but my pair of doilies are working over time today It looks like a really weak rotated hubbing of the eye lid at the eye and the squigles look almost like the hair from just behind the forehead... Maybe have Bob take a look at this thread??? If there are deep gas bubbles in the zinc core it can cause all kinds of weird anomalies on the surface and you will not be able to pop the bubbles... Didn't Mike Diamond do an article recently on plating issues???
