Found this about three weeks ago. I'm pretty sure this is a defective planchet (voids). Some appear to be larger inside than the hole at the surface. Like a cave. It was hard to get any light inside because of the depth. There are some circulation dings as well but the inside appears darker than the coin surface.

As for being dark inside there could be a few explanations for that... My first thought would be because there is no light
Be verwy verwy quiet... I'm hunting coins!!!
