Error Multiple Strikes | 1966 double struck (in collar) Lincoln cent

It may not be immediately clear, but this 1966 Lincoln Cent was double struck in the collar.

It was struck as normal, it bounced up and rotated and landed back in the collar instead of being ejected and got struck again....
Or, it was struck as normal and somehow got fed back in to be struck again.....
Not sure if anyone can say for sure which unless they were there watching since the result is the same.

These can be slightly rotated between strikes or rotated a lot like this one or they can flip over so you'd see an obv over a rev and a rev over an obv.

Thank you Ed! It's starting to make sense now... Lincoln's face in the vest is just awesome looking and I can see where the date is there, just obscure looking! Great coin!

Sorry about that. I know I have a whole coin shot of the reverse...somewhere

Here are some detail shots I have of the reveres and another showing how the side demonstrates it is a partial collar. It probably was stuck, maybe a feeder finger issue where it did not fully leave the collar die, and was struck again - I wouldn't be able to rule out it floating around the press and going back in either. I doubt I could prove either scenario conclusively.

Holy cow, that reverse is just as neat as the obverse.
Look how strong that second strike is to the left corner of the memorial.
