Error Die Crack | 80P All cracked up!!

This one was so cracked I had to show it! It has nice cracks all over the coin but just showed the highlights. There is also a few breaks and possibly displacement.

    Thanks for looking, Jon.

Wow, you were not kidding Jon! I think your color coded arrows and references are great! Sure is a lot going on with this 1980! I am no good at telling displacement, but Jim is

Thanks Viv!! Not finding any varieties but some neat off the wall stuff. Keeps it interesting in between finds!

I understand Jon, and these off the wall things can be real eye openers sometimes that lead to other findings so just keep up the good searching!

My last brick was easy to zip through, it had a lot of Denver Shield cents... and a few nice things. Seems like every 3rd brick or so brings out some nice varieties!

Cool find Jon... I do not think there is any displacement... A little hard to tell for sure due to the circ wear... I looked thru COC for cuds http://cuds-on-coins.com/lincoln-cent-cuds-1980-1982-2/ and retained cuds http://cuds-on-coins.com/retained-cu...present-rcd-2/ but did not see any that would match up especially with your lower crack... I was hoping that a cud had developed... It could very well be that the die shattered http://www.error-ref.com/?s=shattered+die before the cud could be born???

It looks like you are correct after I went back and looked. I thought the northwest quadrant had a shift in it but I think it was another situation where I was just seeing what I wanted to. This area of the Memorial looked like there was displacement to me in the closeup. Thanks for looking in Cuds on Coins though, I never even thought about checking there.
