Error Filled Dies | 2015 P funny looking LB, maybe grease filled die?

Thought I would pick your brains on this one. I've seen small LB's but nothing that looked quite like this. The only thing I could think of was possibly a grease filled die.

    Thanks for your input, Jon.

That is an odd shaped B. And it does not look like it has been pushed around from a hit.
All I can think of is some sort of MD distorting the B.

Edit: In hind sight I agree with you and the others about the grease filled die. I forgot grease can distort the letters and make them look thinner, not just eliminate them.

I would say it is possible there is something (like grease) in the die. The areas around it look fine from what I can see, so that would be my guess as well.

Thanks Cliff!! This one just looked a lot different than any shield I had seen.

Thank you Bob for checking it out!! The only reason I even posted this was I had not seen what I thought to be a grease filled die in a shield yet. Just thought it was odd. Thanks for your help!

Anywhere there is high speed machinery, there is plenty of grease. I agree that the Shield cents do not seem to have many grease errors, but the coins have only been around for 8 years. I am sure they will catch up in the future!
