Error Die Crack | Strange place for a single crack???

Found this in some pocket change... A nice crack on the rev that runs up C7 to the 1st U of UNUM... I found it odd to have no other cracks visible... Must have been some bad bar stock for the crack to be in the middle???

That is odd. It looks to be problem free other than that single crack in the center of the coin.

Thanks to your nice images when I enlarge it, it looks like the crack "V"s off when it passes the bottom left of the N.
Also might be very light cracks going from the bottom of the middle bar of the E, the dot, the P and maybe the L (E PLURIBUS). (I had to enlarge to 240% and it may extend all the way across the base of the letters.)

I saw some stuff in that area but it was so weak I figured it was plating related???
