I'm not sure what you are getting at Dan. If you look at the link I provided, the last two pictures, it shows the bottom of the lip just like yours in bay 9 and also the throat in bay 8, I do not see the beard though. If you look at what they are showing in bay 4 it matches your bay 4 less the second clash. If you look at the very first picture they provide showing the overlay, the "R" in LIBERTY lands exactly where your "R" does.

I was thinking there might be another coin involved it just doesn't look right to be an R, the position is wrong, the link shows it at the bottom of the bay and mine is at the top, guess I'm wrong but still looks like something made an impression on the obverse next to the clash mark, I may not be seeing it correctly maybe I'm dyslexic ................Dan

Dan, the pic in the link shows the reverse upside down and a mirror reverse. They are showing you a "through" the coin shot (as if you could see through the coin) . If it helps, turn your computer or phone upside down, now it will be reversed (backwards) but will show you how the "R" is in the top of the bay at least.

Your attribution is correct, and I thank you for that. The last two pictures do match, I'm wondering why there are no clash marks on the obverse of mine. To me the R looked to big and in the wrong place. and the clash mark looked really sharp and indented almost like someone put it there. So is it safe to say Type 1 counter clash on the reverse, with no clashes showing on the obverse? Thanks again...................Dan

As Viv says in post #6, they may have changed out the obverse die. Let's see what the master of clash and overlays says. Jim will be able to line us out!

Nice clash... Looks to be a tilted die clash as the clash is stronger on the west side... Like Jon said looks like the obv is not the one that did the clash... Bay 1 is the R of LIBERTY... I do not see any section of the TY??? Good pics!!!

I was going to ask Dan about the turkey pic and forgot! Looks like it's his pet turkey saying "Hi, I survived another Thanksgiving"!!!

I was thinking that at first but the turkeys in the background are wild... Turkeys most people have as pets are the white ones that folks eat for thanks giving!!!

Where I am in the foothills of the sierra mt, about 3400 ft. we have a flock of turkeys about 14 of them, and herds of deer, the pic of the turkey is not one of them. I got it off the internet but they all look the same. We had one that would look at himself in the bumper of my truck, and the person who would read our meter well he was afraid to get out of his truck, Henry as we called him, acted like a watchdog would try to run him off................Dan

That is so funny Dan! I know some people who have a turkey that kept coming around their house and it would do the same thing. The turkey decided to make their yard his home and would puff up his feathers when anybody who didn't live there, or a dog or cat or other animal came around. It's kinda scary when those gobblers do that and they will chase after you... makes you want to run away!!!

I'd be tempted to run Viv, but probably at him with a basting brush.
