Ran out of Lincolns to search, so I had to turn to the aggravation can. Not sure what the extended vest is but on top of that it looks like that particular anomaly has misplaced metal. Any guidance as to what this is, is appreciated.
Pretty interesting. It does appear to be a metal strip from the area you suggest. In order for it to be where it is, I can only think that it stuck to the coin when it happened. It has since worn from circulation. Very cool looking.

Thanks for checking it out Bob! Have you seen anything like the original anomaly before? I was not sure, but thought maybe re-engraving to the vest?
Morning!
The lighting seems to show both areas as being incuse. They both look to have roller lines going through them as well. If so , they should be two separate struck throughs.

So sad ... My reverse consumption engine was a broken fuel gauge ... gonna look at coins now. John
John, it is so good to hear from you, I've missed your tutelage! I'll investigate further this evening when I get home. I saw it as raised from the beginning and that's all my mind let me see after that. I do see what you are talking about with the lighting and the roller lines though. Thank you sir!

Hopefully these pics will tell the tale. I could not get a decent angled pic of the vest but used different lighting and it looks like it may be a lam that has fallen out. The other below the date, is as you said, John, incuse. Would a struck through leave the raised ridges at the edge though? It may just be damage but I'll let you pros give your opinion.
The thing along the vest might also be damage but not sure.
The other curved thing is a scrape and something hit the 1 so that makes me think the vest thing might be a third damage spot.
I think your pic confused everyone because it hid the raised edges of the scrape, it has die lines from the 1 to the vest but the lines crossing the gouge might only be scratches on the coin or they don't really show through the scrape except in toning.
Hate to be the disagree-er but to me that curved thing is a scrape.

Thanks Ed!! My sorry, whited out pics in the first set, were very deceptive. John led me in the right direction though to investigate further. The LEDs are good for some things but not for depth...
Hello Stoneman John! I agree with Jon, it's really nice to see you - we have missed you around here!
With Jon's updated pics all showing the curved area as incuse, I agree with Ed on that one, but also not sure about the anomaly at the vest. Yeah... incuse vs. raised are difficult shots to get with LED lights, but Jon, you did a really nice job on the second set of pics!

Nice to see you checking in!!!
Jim (A.K.A. Elmer Fudd) Be verwy verwy quiet... I'm hunting coins!!! Good Hunting!!!
Unfortunately I must disagree with everyone - What you have here is a 1966P One Cent coin also known as a LMC (Lincoln Memorial Cent) The area outlined in red on the jacket looks to be normal??? The area in the field looks like PSD and the yellow outlined area may be related to a clash and subsequent repair??? The 1st pic, with the red and yellow outlines, shows some decent abrasions thru the area and the 1 has been thinned at the south end... That could explain why there are abrasions in the yellow outlined area??? Hope that helps a bit!!!

Greetings all !
Gonna try and stop by more often but the honey do list is a mile lone while the house is being renovated.
One of these days I'll get the camera system up and running again as there are a few additions to the collection that could be of interest to yall. The best is a 1925-S ddo-001 with a terminal die state reverse. It actually has a retained cud with vertical and horizontal movement.
Jon , gonna agree with Jim on your coin. Excellent second set of pics there !
