Error Die Clash/Break | 1969 S clashed 9 in the date

I haven't seen one like this, looks to be a clash on the 9 in the date, might be the R in AMERICA almost looks like flames. Thought some members here might have seen one like it. Please have a look, thank you..............dinkyblue

It does not appear to be a clash. It is pretty severe die damage though. I haven't seen that one before, but my guess would be that something heavy fell on the die, or it was dropped during installation. Of course, these are all guesses.
