    Error Die Crack | For Will.... Unusual but not unexpected.

    Of the thousands of shields I have searched I don't recall ever seeing this and am surprised I have not. Not dissimilar to the corners of the Memorial, this is what I would consider a weak spot in the shield design.

    That is a bit bizarre Jon for a die crack on a shield cent. Judging just by these die cracks I would say it's a very late die state coin but without seeing die flow lines on it I have my doubts. How about a full obverse and reverse?
    It also looks like the crack continues up to the bottom of EN (CENT).

      Thanks for checking it out, Cliff! I added the pics up top. Pretty heavy flow lines and a nice ridge ring.

          That whole coin better be shattered for me to keep it. I look at the date and liberty on shield and toss it. Worst coin ever made
