Error Other | 2018 error?

Not sure. Some parts look like a strike through but then at the top it looks like it was damaged. Maybe some type of planchet damage. Maybe message mike diamond. Im not useful when it comes to errors and I completely hate shield cents. Still think it may have been torched. Wait for other to chime in and send a message to Mike

Thanks, found it roll searching awhile back and put it in the keep jar for further inspection. decided to go back today and re familiarize myself with what I had in there. I’m far from good enough to know what I’m talking about. But I’m trying.

It appears to be a struck-through error. I've seen similar struck-through errors on shield cents.

Thank you Mike, I was not sure. Sometimes it’s hard for me to differentiate mint damage from post mint damage.

Yes, he did lean in my favor��. I wasn’t quite sure if my thoughts were right but it was nice to hear it from a expert. Thank you for asking me to get in touch with him on this. I appreciate what you did. Not a big fan of shields either. Handed the bank back a few full bricks of new shields for repacked ones. I should have kept the new boxes in hindsight thinking back.

I made it thru about 15 rolls of 2019 when they first released and never looked at another one. Sold the rest. Ill check certain dates but thats it
