Error Struck Through | Diagnostics of a struck through?

What exactly is it that you're looking for when it's not obvious that it's a true struck through?
Trying to figure out what could cause a "ribbed" indention in this coin

Just damage, in my opinion PSD, not a struck through. Those striations, in the trough, are a good sign.

Are you sure it's a Broad Strike or maybe a Misaligned Die? MAD's are much more common.

If you can give us a clear shot of full obverse and reverse, we can tell.

With a struck through you will see no raised ridges/material at the edges of the anomaly. The field will be flat as intended. Likewise, there will not be raised ridges on the devices being struck through.
