Error Die Clash/Break | Clash die or die polishing ?

Hi,

There are couple of shapes on this coin. I think it is a die clash... but there are die polishing too. Is die polishing can do shape on a coin like that ?

Is that type of error add value to a penny or it is too common?

More than likely it is a combination of both. I do see one clash mark in the upper part of bays 7 & 8. The 1980's were notorious for die clashes on the Lincoln cent. Most of the reverses were abraded ro remove the clash while the obverses were changed out to a new die.
