Here is a one dollar james k polk in my 2009 phil. mint set that has either a crack or some other damage.The photo is about the best I can do with the coin in the mint set.The damage is very clean on each end not like a gouge or some kind of striking damage it is very deep from what I can tell in the holder.

It's a great picture, and I was able to enlarge it considerably to have a look at the anomaly. It is post strike damage. Something hit it before it went to be holdered in the mint set. Sorry about the damage. You would expect a nicer coin without damage in a mint set, but that s not always the case.
