Double Denomination - 6 cents (5c on struck 1c)
I shot this at the ANA. I did not get the collector's name who owned it, but I will try and figure it out. What we have here is what is sometimes called a 6 cent piece; a Jefferson nickel struck over a previously struck Lincoln cent. The obverse was tad shiny like it had been rubbed or something. Nice details, would like to find one...
Holy Toledo! To say this is an incredible coin would be an understatement! Jaw-dropping. Where would you find something like this? In a nickel or penny roll?

I am not sure, but I suspect it might be in OBW nickel roll - once spent, if it could be without it being a curiosity, I would think it could end in in a cent roll. The Lincoln cents on a struck Roosevelt seem to be more highly coveted - in either case they are both out of my budget to buy an example.
A Jefferson on 1c planchet, an off-metal error, is in the $125-200 range. According to minterrornews.com such a dual or double denomination is $750 in AU and $1,000 in BU.
...What's the diameter? It shouldn't be much more than 0.75" to fit in a cent roll...
Good question. I did not think to get the dims. Next time (if there is a next time) I'll run something along in the shot to determine width. I could see it being at least a little wider than a normal cent - but how much I do not know.
