[Example] 1983 With A Lot Going On

Took a break from my '59D rolls. Found this 83 in a Brinks box that has been sitting beside my desk for over a month. First thing that caught my eye was the blob of a die chip taking over the 8 in the date. Then I noticed the large die crack in the top of Lincoln's head. Lobotomy anyone? Flipped it over to look for the DDR. No on the doubled die, but a nice big crack through the left corner of the memorial base. Like I said, a lot going on with this coin.

Across the upper head? yes. forehead? no.

I have come across only a few coins with this many "problems"

All these issues are pretty common on the 83's. What's uncommon is to find an 83 without issues.
