    Welcome to the forum!

I want to say I think this is some phenomena generated by heat. can you show details from other parts of the coin?

sure thing ive also heard it was acid washed but i just dont see how thats logically possible. im not suggesting its a mint error just like to know what happened

Heating with a blow torch can make that happen.

I guess the best answer is that it couldn't of happened at the mint. A doubled die reverse maintains uniformity from the hubbing process.

I don't see that happening on other devices, just the area you showed. Also if this were a die error there would have been many more examples of this found through the years.

I did. I didn't think it was was anything like reeding. Looks more like the coin bumped into a stack of coins and left that mark on your coin. If it were reeding it would be always around.
