I'm guessing we realize this post is two years old ?

I think new members should look through old threads like these, and if they have a question, they should comment and ask on that thread.
However, I agree that digging up an old thread like this to say "nice coin" is unnecessary.-Sean

That's right Sean ! Thanks for clarifying what I was thinking...and additionally, that the comment isn't something that's already been answered.New questions are always great.Comment

and isn't that why the Threads are archived??. ;;; Viewing and comments....

I like it, too. Let a great coin such as this be shown again and again. What are the chances that a variety as scarce as this would be struck off center? And yet, I've seen this happen on the 2000 wide am as well. Can you imagine the value of a big doubled die like a '72 struck off center? That'd be amazing!Comment

True...I guess I was just resisting the forum going the way of some others..but maybe that's the direction that is wanted...sorry I spoke up...won't happen anymore.Comment

Probably better off Roger, there seems to be a large enough population now that'll turn us into a CoinTalk in no time. Why resist change???Chris & Charity Welch- LIVEANDIEVARIETIES

Incredible find! gives hope to the rest of us.
Now until I read all of the posts I didn't even realize that this was an old thread. (Being a newbie) Sorry I gave a compliment to the coin, I would have never found the thread and seen the coin if it hadn't have come up today. Maybe the mod's or webmaster can archive and put a "read only" on any thread that is deemed "to old" to dredge up to comment on. That would solve some of complaints from the veterans that have seemed to arise as of late. When is a thread to old to be dredged up to comment on considering when someone does a search (another bone of contention) and finds something to them is exciting and comments? Is archiving and read only status possible?Comment
