I agree the the 1986 was indeed struck from dies toward the end of their life, but the uniform thickness is indicative of Class 6 distorted hub doubling. I believe it's the same coin listed on coppercoins as DDO-3, but can't be positive, the site doesn't display the most demonstrative portion, GOD.

IMO I think the reason it looks that way is because the deterioration. Any coin with it has the characteristics of Class VI but isnt. If GOD was one of the strongest portions of the one shown on Coppercoins, then it would be shown.
what the photo on coppercoins does show is a small spread on the R of trust, which my coin has as well, but I chose to show the GOD portion of the motto, because in my humble opinion it's the most demonstrative area of the coin.

The 1986 DDO-003 on coppercoins did not demonstrate any extra thickness, therefore it was listed as a class 2 only..not the combo class 2 + 6. However, DDO-004 was a class 6, and it does show some die deterioration as well.
Chris, does your coin show extra thickness along with notching on TRUST? How about the date?

It does show extra thickness at the tops of the letters of trust and the bottom of the S, but no notching or separation of serifs, with the exception of the end of the bar on the R, looks more like 2 small die scratches though.
I'll post a picture of TRUST in a little while, I'm in a mad race against time to get a few items on ebay.

I looked again at coppercoins- it was [die 4] that I was looking at with the class 6, mixed up and said die 3. I'm not saying that's what it is either, I don't know, just looks like somewhat significant class 6 spread. I'm very open to other's opinions. And without a doubt- the die is deteriorating. But in my experience, die deterioration appears more random, there are of course simple explanations for die deterioration, but nothing that I'm aware of would cause uniform thickness of the motto in a specific direction. I'd rather be shown how I'm wrong than insist I'm right. Hope these photos shed some light:

I dont know, I think it looks like Class VI because of the wear on the die. I find these alot and never think twice of keeping them. Whats the date look like?
