    2005P doubled lobe?

    In most cases when I post on here its because me and my Bud cant agree about this or that.But Im with him on this one,I may fall with him but this sure looks like it to me.Im wondering what other members has to say about this extra lobe..Thanks!

    It appears the coin has taken a hit across the ear. I don't believe this is anything. In my opinion!

        I don't in anyway believe this is a doubled lobe but could you take a pic of the entire obverse. Those lines look cool and I would like to see it closer. probably just tool marks but it reminds me of the steps on the memorial building. Probably far reach.

          I was talking about behind the ear not above it , I should have used arrows..

            ( I know I was just curious about the raised marks as well.) I think what you are talking about behind the ear is a normal portion of the hair and it just looks pronounced because the coin is well struck. Not a extra lobe.

              I know what you're talking about, but it looks to be part of the design combined with a stain that makes it appear that way IMHO.

                      Hey don't get down on yourself! I post lots of things that I think are great and then turn out to be nothing. I am still pretty new but I have realized the more I look at coins the better I am getting. I'm sure you will as well!! Cheer up, crack open a box of cents and find some more!!
