Need some more help on a RPM or Not a RPM?

I am not too good on RPM's and could not find a listing for this one.

Is it a RPM or is it MD?

Comments and help would be appreciated.

I'm no pro, but based on the doubling I'm seeing in the date, I'll guess as MD.

I'll have to agree on this one that it doesn't fit the bill for 1983 RPMs . However I'll wait for the pros.

You are all correct in that this is MD. Notice how much thinner the primary mint mark is where the doubling is. A good clue to these kind of wannabe's

"The Forum members are getting pretty sharp."

This is an amazing forum! So supportive, positive and knowledgeable! But as for my contribution, just give me a few days and I will be sure to screw something up

But seriously, we can't all know everything! I am still deceived by certain forms of machine doubling (among other things - ha ha), but it is happening less often thanks to help for all of you.

5 years ago, I would have completely believed you if you told me that was RPM#1 or whatever. Now, thanks to posts like this, I have learned to (mostly) tell the difference for myself. That alone has made collecting so much more rewarding!

Thanks 1sgret for posting coins like this so we can all continue to learn!!

Even the pros ask questions sometimes. So that we may all learn. Read a lot, look and study a lot ,ask a lot of questions and you learn a lot.You just never stop learning.

I agree that this is an awesome forum and the people are great! I'm learning a ton from you all. And I gotta say, MD or not... it's still a cool looking coin.
