    1911-d rpm#?

Hey Folks, just thought I would post this for thoughts from everyone.
This coin matches WRPM#03 including markers from "The comprehensive guide to Lincoln Cent Mintmark Varieties". Wexler/Allen/Bordner.
CONECA's CD. Position looks somewhat off - Farther Southeast and not as well split.
    Cherrypicker's more resembles CONECA's listing.

I thought I would just post and share, I think the Wexler variety is different from the Coneca variety.
I will send the coin in to see if it is listable or RPM#3...

That is an awesome RPM. If it isn't listed I would think it is major enough to be. Very cool, congrats.

On vacation but it looks like #3 to me!! Great find as I think only one has been graded by PCGS .

I don't own a 1911 RPM, but from your pic, that is the one I like the most. Maybe a new one? Nice find!

I don't see a match on CONECA. Maybe a new listing?

Eric, to me, it kinda resembles an OMM. But that could also just be wishful thinking. Either way, I think it is most definitely a new listing, and way too cool. It would look so much better in my collection.

Evening Folks, I would guess there are a few folks that would like to know if the coin in this photo is actually RPM#3. See the attachment from Dr Wiles. Wexler WRPM#03 and CONECA RPM#3 are a different coin.

Am I to believe that Dr. Wiles believes this RPM to be too minor to list? Wow. Certainly not my thoughts on this one.

Wow, that is strange. There are '11-D RPMs far more minor... PCGS wouldn't hesitate to slab this one.

For a rotated RPM, this is a nice one.

What Kinda gets me on this coin is that and I've leaned this far to many times in my past, that if there are many RPM's for a particular
date, say 20-40 RPM's he has been very reluctant to attribute something new. It does kinda hurt though since there are only five for this date/Mintmark. If anyone has a clearer more than an AU copy of this coin, please send it in, maybe he would list it then...

I was surprised as well when I read it. Dr Wiles must have his reasons I guess.
Regardless, It's an outstanding RPM Eric. I really like it a lot.
