    1970 d rpm?

Hello all I have been looking at this one at different angles and it seems as if there is a piece of raised metal curving in the inside of the d and a little curved piece of metal jutting out from under the d. Thoughts?

The anom inside the D may be something but I do not see anything else that hints at an RPM.

I don't see anything that looks like an RPM. If it had a verticle bar connecting the two serifs your trying to point out in the last pic then maybe. Not enough to prove an RPM...

I apologize as I thought I had already responded to this. I tend to agree with what others have noted. My opinion is that this is not an RPM. The anomaly inside the MM is not indicative of an RPM, and there are other years in the 70's when this anomaly seemed prevalent, especially 1972. These were determined to be punched with a damaged mint mark punch.
