    2013.p ddo?

I've been searching bricks since the 2013 pennies came to our area...sadly without a lot of success...One good example only... that I posted earlier...This is my latest find...The left fork of the Y in Liberty is much thicker and there may be some extra thickness on the letters of Liberty...I see no noticeable extra thickness on the date... or at least no major bulges as in my previous find...what do you think.. is it a minor DDO? or was the die just machined that way?

    It's a DDO.

Nice find there.. It looks like the one Wexler has listed on his site.. I believe this one maybe the more popular find thus far.http://doubleddie.com/894355.html

That's good to know...I still like the first one that I found better...but it's all good don't you think?

I have looked at the one Wexler has listed and the reverse markings are not the same? This example has two die cracks on the reverse...one runs from the E in UNITED across the left side of the shield and causes some cold flow over the top of the shield...The second crack starts at the P of E PLURIBUS and intersects with the crack along the top of the shield...all of the examples have the same cracks..

It's a doubled die, a bit minor though. Nice find!

Ok, now I have to ask...What is 'cold flow'? LOL

Very nice find! I hope with all the '13's I have, I might get lucky!

Thanks...Cold flow is the movement of a solid while under sustained pressure IE: filling the die crack and flowing over during the strike...well...that's close to what Webster says...Happy hunting!

I think its a different die than WDDO-001. While the extra thickness in the date of die#1 is minor, I don't think I can see it in your coin. It is indeed a DDO as I can clearly see the extra thickness in the "Y". Just not as nice as the other one you found.

I totally agree...maybe when Bob gets caught up I can have them attributed...

This one would be too minor to list on coppercoins. The one I will list this weekend would be the minimum strength I would like to see on subsequent submittals.
