It doesn't look like a plating issue under the microscope. What do you guys think? Posted below a pic of the date and mint mark. I couldn't find anything on cc.

Are you referring to the south of the D? Just underneath it? If so, you're going to have to flip the coin 180 degrees (so it's upside down) so that the light hits the anomaly when you take a photo. One thing to keep in mind...markers can verify an attribution..but a lack of markers does not eliminate an attribution. The first thing I look at is the location to narrow an rpm down, then match the RPM. I'm leaning towards MD on the bottom...but the top serif does look split in the 2nd & 3rd pictures.Comment

Yes..it only costs one cent to keep questionable finds...you can always save up a few and then send them to Bob for an in-hand attributionComment
