Any other chipped hubs besides 1936 cent?

I'm preparing a column on chipped working hubs. I just received a roll of 1936 cents with the left leg of the R missing in LIBERTY. Are there any others I should know about? I have seen photos of a 2002 cent with a minor chipped hub involving the left lower corner of the first 2.

I know the 1941 Lincolns featured broken "T" hubs.

And also 1956 featured a broken 6 hub.

Would the notch inside the 6 of the 60D SD cent be considered a chipped or damaged hub?

I think the mark on the inside of the 6 is an engraving mark. It is on all of the small dates. Unlike the broken hub on the 1936 and 1941's as it shows on various dies, but not on all of them. The 1956 -D Cents had a broken bottom part on the 6 in the date.

Note bottom edge of the "6" in the date. The best image I have on my host at this time. Sorry.
Richard S. Cooper Some have asked about my images I use, and I'm glad to say I've completed a DVD of these. Ask if you are interested. Newer members like these.

This is exactly the same thing I thought of when I read Mike's post. I have encountered many 1956D with that crescent missing from the bottom of the 6.

It wasn't just the "D" models of 1956 Cents that sported the broken hub. Philly too.

              Mike,

Here's an example of a 56D with a chipped hub. I've seen them more extreme than this, but I've never studied them, so I don't know if only one hub was affected or several.

No, it doesn't. The mint mark was added to the die AFTER the hubbing up through 1989. Note that it is called a "broken punch," and not a "broken hub," because the mint mark was punched into the die, not hubbed. As for the OP's question, I think Jody nailed it in the first post. I can't think of any others, but I'll go consult my notes to doubled check.

Is the 1941 broken T hub limited to only P Mint dies and does anyone have an image of an example of this Hub from a normal coin?

I almost forgot about the broken hub on the 69 cents until I was searching a San Fran roll tonight.

With all this discussion of chipped hubs, and no picture of the broken R on the 1936?

That's what precipitated the question Jason, Mike bought a roll of them from me and was trying to come up with other examples from different years.

Great photo, Jason. I'd like to use it for my column. Please send it to me sans arrow and text. You'll be credited in the column text or the picture caption. Thanks.
