1947-D Lincoln Wheat Cent D/D RPM?

    1947-D Lincoln Wheat Cent D/D RPM#10?

    My first post here

Help verifying if it is 1947-D RPM#10 or a Unlisted or maybe another.

I checked CC to match it but it does not seam to match anything.

But then again it is close to #10 but I am unsure something looks off.

It could be RPM#10 with different markers of another die state like a LDS.

I still can't tell difference in die states to good. But I am guessing it is VLDS with all the blur on edge letters?

Either way descent splits can be seen on both top and bottom serifs of this tilted repunched mint mark.

Any comments, suggestions or feedback always extremely welcome...

I think the MM is too far south for 010. It looks closer to 006, but I don't see the telltale horns Bob mentions on CC. One of the best tools you can get for identifying RPMs is learning to do overlays so you can match the MM in relation to the date.

This one's a little tough. It is a nice enough coin so that die flow lines to not distract from the notches. I'm afraid this one would need an in hand look, and as Roger suggests, maybe some overlay photography.

It maybe a new one? Note the inside upper loop? I've not seen that on the other dies for this year that are listed. The location is incorrect for 010.

Two things I need to point out hear about this post. Please keep your naming nomenclature correct. When you say RPM#10 most of us think you mean CONECA. 1MM-010 for Coppercoins and Wexler=WRPM-010. CONECA does not list anything past RPM#8 so please keep your naming nomenclature correct.

The next thing is: We need a whole date/mintmark photo combined, usually done by 400px High 600px wide. this lets us see the position of the date to the mintmark, which will usually get rid;"Narrow Down" most of the coins with hard to tell split serifs.

Nice pics keep up the hunt. Sorry to be a bit negative....

Was not aware of the naming conventions or the photo standards. I w, I think I even posted this in the Q&A, but now I know... ill keep this in mind for my second post.

I pretty much only use coppercoins, cpg or book reference and as per the overlay comment I can understand how that would help going forward.
