    Help Attributing 1970-S RPM

I believe this to be a rpm but I could not match to CC or other sites as most 1970-s rpm have no images.

    I know it is not 1970S-1MM-006P, 1970S-1MM-001, 1970S-1MM-002

    unsure about 1970S-1MM-003,1970S-1MM-004, 1970S-1MM-005

any comments, suggestion or info welcome

I believe this to be just a regular mint mart that was strongly punched into the die. Sometimes when a mint mark is strongly punched into a die it can have this effect. Sorry, I don't think it is a RPM.

I too feel it is just a normal mint mark. Can you indicate the area where you see it is a rpm?

Maybe your right I was matching it to the image on the left but from this new image i found of wrpm-009 there would be something south.

I happen to LOVE RPM's. When you are first starting out, coin wear and post strike damage can be deceiving. What I did was really study how a true RPM affects the mint mark. Study what causes them. Once you have a full understanding, it will make it much easier finding them. It will also help in identifying which one you have found.

This looks to me like a die with a deeply punched mintmark. Not a re-punching. Remember, the punch itself has edges too.

Also, compared to WRPM9, I think your coins MM is a little bit further west.

I would have to agree that this is not an RPM. Sorry....
