Stopped by the coin shop after work today. There every Friday. Picked up 4 rolls of wheat's the only ones he had. And found this nice 1941 DDO.

You sure pull some nice varieties! I am in a terrible run for 2015. About 13000 cents searched and have only a shield ddr and a couple of WAMs to show for it (98 and 00.)
It would blow my mind to score a big ddo like this in only 4 rolls! Congrats

Nice and in great shape! 41'S Is one of my favorite for their DDO'S. I would get that slabbed for sure.

I think finding varieties in wheats is easier than in memorials. There are more nice big doubled dies and mintmark varieties and less total dies used so the finds are better. I've never had a wheat bag without some good varieties but I've had many modern bricks with nothing worth pulling. Of course the diff is that searching memorials/shields is free but I need to buy and sell bags of wheats to search them.

That 41 die #2 is great, nothing matches it in memorials except the 72 and 83 but from 41 there was that and the #1. That's why I like searching wheats, every 17-36-41-42 is like a lotto ticket with decent odds of a nice DDO.
