Doubled Ear or Well-placed Contact Mark?

Is this a doubled ear or just a well-placed hit? It doesn't have the same shape as 1DO-001 and there is a contact mark higher up on the ear. No markers either. (lol -- I've probably answered my own question that it's a hit. Just wanted to make sure...)

    Thanks in advance.

Now that is very interesting Andrew, two points coming to the same conclusion, could be a well placed hit but the size of each anomaly are about the same. Have you checked for any other doubling on the coin?

          Cool find

I agree with the hits... It does not appear to enlarge the earlobe... I have seen quite a few with these hits and think it may be related to damage from a coin roller machine!!!

Thank you, all, for your unanimous conclusions. I do appreciate it.

There are a number of hits on and around the ear. It is probably a case where the coin made contact with something irregular and they all appeared at one time...

Thanks, Jason. I agree on the other hits. It's just every time I see something that is less-than "shelf-like" or has even the slightest bit of rounded edge to it, I'm still tempted to ask... I'm learning so much from this forum. Thanks again.
