1949s RPM help on attribution

Have this 1949S with an RPM, problem is I can't find a match. I think it might be worn to bad to see any markers. Tried to match it with the mint mark position. So far no luck. I thought maybe someone has one to compare it too. Thanks.................................. dinkyblue

Nice find... It could be Variety Vista (VV) 008 http://varietyvista.com/02a%20LC%20R...949SRPM008.htm I'm not 100% sure tho... I can not tell if the VV sample has a notch on the upper serif like yours??? As thin as the lower loop of your primary MM is it would be later than VVs Stage C sample!!!

I don't think any of the CONECA listings match this coin. The coin does resemble Wexler RPM#2 though. May want to venture to Wexler's website and see if you can match any marker's.

RPM 008 is close, as the mint mark position looks the same or similar. A Possible later stage could explain why I'm not able to match any markers. Thanks for your help..........................Dan

The markers could be gone in the later states!!!
