    1910S RPM 1

I found this guy at a local coin show last weekend. It is pretty circulated but it was not a bad pick up. First one I have ever found.

Great pick. A bath in acetone will loosen some of that crud and make this coin nicer in appearance,

I was actually surprised at how subtle it was under my loupe. But under the microscope it really pops out.

Nice! It is weird how some RPM'S look so strong up close yet so vague even though a 10X loupe.

                  I use a 20X. I know, I'm crazy.

Not crazy Dave. That is all I use 20X - I actually have a 30X I take with me to shows in case I want to see if a dark area of a coin is really an RPM or just junk/die scratch/contact mark.
I see many more #1's at the shows than #2's

Nice! I think we all take chances on some anomalies we see at shows. I got stuck with an ordinary 1911D because some debris looked close to RPM 1.

Definitely a hard coin to pick. Nice job.

I got outbid on one Sunday night & an 002 Saturday afternoon. That makes 3 002s and 1 001 I've lost. Very nice! Happy for you buddy!
