    Another unlisted lathe line find.

    Hello again,

I found this coin last night. Its not in very good shape, nor are the Lathe lines very distinct, but it appears to be a new listing for the Lathe line site. I enjoy looking for these and have found a good number of them over the past few years. They are fairly common on the 1996-D coins, but not so much for any of the other dates. Just another fun thing to check for! Happy searching everyone!

    John

Sweet find! I love the obverse ones! I think I have only found 2 obverse lathe line coins (both 1996-D's like yours), whereas I must be up to nearly 50 of the reverse varieties. 1996-D's seem to be loaded with them. They must have gotten in new equipment or resharpened the cutting points on the lathes at the mint that year.

Nice finds guys! I've only found 3 or 4, and they are on shield cents. I do have a 1996-D that I got from Chugly. I think they're cool as heck!

I haven't found any reverse LL yet. The obverse 1996-D aren't real common but I find one every 4, or 5 boxes.
