    1942P-1DR-001?

This really appears to be a weak example of this, but I can't find any markers.
The pics were difficult on this one, and especially hard to capture the doubling on the "O". Hopefully good enough to see.

I think your pics are really good. This coin is just really worn. I'd say you have a winner here and a very fine pick at that!
This is a very rare die in my book at least. I search these extensively and have never found one.

Looks like a winner to me.

Sounds like you scored a nice variety. Congrats.

          Thanks very much!
Was leary when I couldn't find a marker. My first wheat variety!

Impressive find. I probably would have been guilty of not looking very hard at that one and missed it.

Really nice find! I am guilty of regularly failing to closely examine wheat reverses for doubled dies. Thanks for sharing!

Nice find... I would have missed that one for sure... Also remember that not all die markers are listed as such... Sometimes you will need to examine the photos a little closer and use other non listed markers such as die dots and abrasions in order to confirm... Markers can wear away thru the dies life!!!

If this needle in a haystack is your first wheat variety, you have a very bright future ahead of you for sure! It takes a seriously good eye and a proper variety education to spot one of these. Well done.

Certainly a very nice find! I have a particular interest in these class 4 DDR's right now. They are tough to find, but keep your eye out for this type of doubling on many other dates as well.

I find a few wheats here and there like most people, but was given a healthy stack to look through by a family member. I went ahead and sorted them out by date and mint and look through everything for that year on coppercoins before examining each stack. That helped a lot for finding this one, and the fact that I never had this many wheats before so I am looking closely at every coin.

Not many of the coins are in great condition, but it has been a good experience to really get intimate with the wheat series. Seeing the subtleties between the years really helps your confidence to spot things that are off. In my relatively small sample size, it seems there are a lot less errors in general than with the memorial series, but that is probably just perspective as I've looked through a bazillion memorial cents by now. For instance I've only found 1 MD so far.

I started down at 1910 and am now on the 1945 stack. Hopefully I'll have more to post before I'm done.

Thanks everyone for the support and encouragement!
