    1941-P...Doubling on 4 and eyelid?!

I farily convinced that this may be an unlisted DDO, but would sure love some extra opinions. The 4 appears to have a SE spread as well as the eyelid. Fingers crossed for a new die!

That extra eyelid sure looks like that on a 1925 DDO. The rest I lack the knowledge to comment on. Hope it is and you get the credit.

The eye lid does look like a DD... The 4 looks promising... In the 2nd pic I see a line inside the 4 as well as the area just south of the horizontal bar on each side of the vertical that appears to match up with the line inside... A slight south and east super light hubbing??? Also the tail on 9 appears to be a little thick???
I am not 100% sure tho!!!

Eyelid looks like a DDO to me. But I'm thinking the stuff at the 4 might just be part of the poor engraving job showing up extra-well on your EDS specimen. Let's see what Bob thinks.

I agree that the eyelid is in fact a doubled die. The 4 is not associated hub doubling. With the spread we see to the south of the crosslet, hub doubling would also be found on associated digits. There are many dies from 1941 that show this type of anomaly on the 4 to one extent or the other. I agree with Will that it is most likely an engraving issue.
These are excellent photos. Well done!
