    1983-D rpm?

    Hi:
    Could be machine doubling - but why only the "D?"

    The only one on coppercoins.com has the D in a totally different location, and I cannot find it anywhere else either.

      Hey Roger,
      If your talking about what's to the lower east side of the coin, it's soft metal or metal pull. It's not an RPM. It's quite common on the 82-present planchets made of zinc..
