1959-D. Minor RPM, major die marker!!

    Hello everyone,

I found this coin the other day. It exhibits a minor RPM coupled with a really nice retained interior die break (RIDB) and die crack on the back of Lincoln's head. The crack is pretty extreme from my experience and I have never found one like this in all of my years of searching. I thought it was worth posting just for the die crack. I haven't tried to attribute this one yet, but with Wexler's new listings up for the 1959-D RPM's, I might find a match. Thanks for looking and happy searching!

Nice RPM... I did a quick look thru the first 75 on Wexlers site and 35 looked the closest... Could not tell for sure on the MM location but the splits seem close to the proper location and there are abrasions around the MM that could match up... Wexlers pic is a little to blurry for me to tell for sure!!!

That's a nasty die crack! I love it. And a filled B too!

That's not a crack... That's Abes ear piece so he can listen in on the secret service chatter

Ha ha! Right, Jim. Old Abe would certainly be shocked if he were listening in today! Thank's for the attribution help!

Abe would probably have a cow Glad I could help you out with the attribution... When there are a bunch of RPMs for a year they can be a headache as Larry (Joel) knows with the 60Ds
