1951D RPM with date die chip?

Profound secondary MM (or is it primary?) to the south (north?), looks like part of the lower curve has been chipped away. Can't identify it on Coppercoins. And look at the 1 on the date? How the heck does that happen and what is it?

It took a hit from something.Took the whole 1 out and left a piece of it. Im sure that little slice of the 1 with come right off. No die chip

Your coin is RPM-004. It is not on coppercoins currently, but will be some time today as I have a copy here. Jason is correct about the 1 on the date.

Looks like a counting machine damaged that 1. That happens a lot on 1941 cents.

I have added at least preview pics of 9 more 1951D RPMs to the coppercoins site. I have had these all along, but was waiting for better examples. Marker photos for some of those added today will be added at a later date.
