    1968-D RPM/DDR ?

1968-D. It appears to me this cent has an RPM on the obverse with the reverse being a DDR. Checking the Lincoln Cent Resource, a good indicator of doubling can be found on the initials and I believe this coin passes that test. My vision indicates doubling on the letters T, E and D on United as well as most letters in the word STATES. PCGS lists 3 variety categories however, I don’t believe I’m see a description for this particular coin. I’m trying to figure out how to attribute. Is it a FS 501 or 801? I don’t visually see the difference between the examples shown. And finally, the color has a lot of orange. Would you consider this a red? As always, appreciate your expert opinion.

Don't think it's any of those varieties.

In general, PCGS only notes the CPG varieties.
It might be better to look up varieties on coppercoins using the search.
There are 17 68-D varieties (DDO/DDR/RPM) listed there.

I don't think it's any of them but the MM looks filled or partly filled.

    I'd call it a red/brown.

I do not see a RPM or DDR either... Like Ed said the MM is filled... That portion of the die is known to break off because the pin is weak in structure... On the rev I see die wear, MD, PSD and circ wear but nothing that looks like a doubled die!!!

Sorry to say, but I also don't see anything that looks like a doubled die or RPM. Can you get a close up of the mint mark? I really like the color on the obverse though!

I remember he's supposedly under a stadium or something.
