    1970 S Large Date ( Repunched Mint Mark ? )

Hello friends I found this nice 1970 S Large Date. I believe it to be in EDS. Proof?? Anyway I see maybe a repunched mint mark and wanted your all's opinion. I don't see an exact example on coppercoins.com and variety vista doesn't have photos so I can't know for sure if its on there.
Am I just seeing things or is this a repunched mint mark? If so can you all help attribute it?
    Thanks Friends

I can't see any splits on the serifs.
Try this link for VV RPM Memorial Lincoln cent images.

I do not think yours is a proof... The non proof I found closest to yours is VVs 007 http://www.varietyvista.com/02b%20LC...970SRPM007.htm but yours does not match it... Yours is interesting with the top of the central curve but I am not 100% sure it is a RPM... I will move your thread over to the RPM attribution area and hopefully Bob will chime in!!!

Does not look like an RPM to me either.

Thanks all. I will hold it for a little longer to get a few more opinions but it looks as if it is not going to be anything. I believe sometimes those super shiny coins can cause you to see things that are not there.

            Definitely a business strike.
Looking at the vertical pic, it looks like a tiny bit of MD got the S.

On another note... I always tell people to use the inside curl of the 9 to tell if it's a LD or SD. Your huge pic of the 9 shows very clear. Notice how the inside curl ends in a wide blunt end. The SD has a point on the end. It's so clear in your pic. I wish every 70-S question showed the 9 as well as yours! The only time that does not clearly tell if it's a LD or SD is if the coin has MD in that area, it can make the blunt end look pointed if it smears the blunt end.
